The Present Mom Project is a 10-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR / MBCT), Holistic Nutrition & Self-Compassion online group program for mothers.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic modality which reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety, reduces incidence of relapse, improves mood and contributes to an overall sense of wellbeing. This unique combination of MBCT with other holistic health practices offers mamas a natural, whole approach to mental health, in a beautiful group setting from the comfort of your own home.
These limited availability, 1:1 sessions encompass our holistic Biopsychosocial model of care . We begin with psychotherapy to help you uncover and overcome areas that cause you stress and pain. Mindfulness is taught and practiced throughout to manage the feelings that arise, make meaning, and help you rise resilient. We incorporate nutrition, exercise and lifestyle throughout and customize these sessions to be more or less of whatever feels right for you. Enjoy these online sessions from the comfort of your own home or private space.
Holistic Psychotherapy means supporting the whole person – mind, body and spirit. Science shows that there are both physical and mental health benefits to being active and being in nature so Mother Zen merges these things to provide Mothers with therapeutic sessions outside.
Pack your baby up in the stroller or wrap them up in their carrier and meet Gillian for a guided walk through the forest, ravine or by the lake where you can tune into your senses and practice being in the present moment. These sessions are 75 minutes in length to really gain the benefits of moving in nature, while also being able to talk about what’s on your mind.
